Are You Focused?

As I continue providing you with information about my K.A.R. (Knowledge-Application-Results) system, I want to give you some tidbits to help you build your base of knowledge as an Internet Marketer. A good friend of mine, and fellow marketer, Peggy Baron, has a product that fits in nicely with my system: IM Focused.

The following are my thoughts as I read through her ebook:

Common Knowledge Amongst Internet Marketers

There are lots of things that are common knowledge amongst internet marketers, but if you’re new to internet marketing, you may not have learned them yet. Rather than cram everything into this one post, I’m going to break it down into a 3 part series and cover 3 basic topics in each part. These are in no particular order, but all are important to your online success.

1. You need a website.

While it is possible to start selling products without a website, it might not be in your best interest to do so. Having your own website(s) contributes to your long-term growth, which is crucial to online success. Your own website says you’re a serious, professional marketer interested in building relationships with people while selling products with value.

As you add more and more products, whether your own or affiliate products, it’s also good to have a “mother ship”, a home base website, where you can showcase yourself and your products. A website can promote your products and brand you as an internet marketing expert. This is common knowledge amongst internet marketers.

2. You need a list.

Another important factor to your online success is building a list. If you have a list, then you have a group of people who have said they’re willing to listen to you and perhaps buy from you. If you didn’t have these people on your list, then you have to work much harder to drive traffic to your website each and every time you want to promote a product. Would you rather have 100 targeted people on your list to promote to with one email, or try to get 100 new people to come to your website so you can then promote to them?

Consider what can happen if you have a list made up of customers who have already bought from you? They know you now, they know what kind of value you give, and they’re much more likely to purchase from you again. You can’t get a much more “targeted” crowd than that!

So build your list by offering something for free (an ebook, a report, an ecourse, audio or video) in exchange for their name and email address.

3. You need an autoresponder.

Autoresponders (I highly recommend Aweber) are your first step in putting your business on autopilot, and they are directly related to the all-important list you’re building. It might be easy enough at first to send out emails, promotional and informational, to the 5 people on your new list, but think ahead. When your list is in the thousands, you can’t possibly email each one of them.

An autoresponder is like a secretary. You set up your emails and they will go out when you want them to at a certain time on a certain day. If you want your autoresponder to deliver an ecourse you can tell it to send the lessons 3 days apart or whenever you want.

So, these are the first 3 of the topics covered in this common knowledge amongst internet marketer series.

Stay tuned for Part 2 and Part 3.

Lamborghini or AMC Rambler?

Which of those is Your Internet Marketing Vehicle?

Whether you are going to work, taking a walk, surfing the internet, you need a way to get from point A to point B. The way you do that could be termed your ‘vehicle’, which you use to move you between those two points.

Internet Marketing is no exception. You need a vehicle to get you from newbie to experienced. That vehicle is Knowledge. How you acquire that knowledge is based on how you learn things.

If you are a newbie, more than likely you are using the AMC Rambler (remember those?) and if you are seasoned, you may be on your way to using a Lamborghini. Whatever you are using, you had to learn how to do it somewhere along the line.

Maybe you learn the fastest by reading, or it could be by watching videos, or maybe it’s listening to an audio recording or teleseminar, whatever the method is, you will need to use it to get the knowledge that you need to make yourself successful in the IM business.

For all of the methods I mentioned above, you can find any number of different sources for them scattered all over the web. A good place to start would be giveaway events (here’s where I input a shameless plug for the Halloween Giveaway) where you can find ebooks, videos and software on Internet Marketing and many other subjects.

You can also try ‘ebook stores’. These sites have large selections of electronic books (ebooks), most in pdf format. Check out my ebook store here.

In order to read these these books, you will need a pdf reader installed on your computer and also some sort of zip program. Windows XP and Windows Vista come with a zip program built in, but if you need one, you can find one here. If you need a pdf reader, you can find that here.

If your preferred method of learning is videos, you can find a plethora of sources for those also, even the giveaway events will have some videos available for you. One of the better ways to get started with Internet Marketing is using PLR material. My friends Doug and Teri Champigny have a great set of videos teaching you how to use PLR to jumpstart your IM business. You can find those videos here.

The great thing about videos is that if you have a hard time grasping a concept that is being presented, you can rewind the video over and over again. This is good because if you are trying to learn something and it just isn’t working, you pause the video, do whatever you are trying to do, if it doesn’t work, rewind, relearn, and reapply, until you get it right!

Audio–maybe you learn the quickest by listening to live or recorded information. There are several membership sites that offer audio recordings of their past teleseminars.

A teleseminar is a ‘meeting place’, if you will, where people call into a telephone number and the moderator of the meeting talks about the specific subject that is being covered that day. Some of the live teleseminars are interactive, some are not, depends on how the moderator wants to handle that. Audio recordings are great resources for learning concepts also for the same reason that videos are. If the moderator or the participants are talking about something that you don’t quite get, or a specific website is mentioned, you just rewind and relisten.

I use audio and video quite extensively when I am in learning mode, mainly because of the above reasons. If I read something and then try it, and it doesn’t work, it’s difficult to understand WHY it didn’t work. Whereas with video, you can actually follow along, make your changes, and if it doesn’t work, you can go back and find out why it didn’t.

Next time I will cover the Application part of my system. If you would like notification of that post, please sign up for my updates (there are a couple of great freebies on the backend after signup, hint, hint) in the upper right hand corner of the page. I strongly suggest you sign up because readers of my newsletter will receive more indepth information on K.A.R. that I won’t be sharing with casual readers of the blog.

Also sign up to follow me on Twitter and get notified of what I am doing on a daily basis.

Has Adsense Been Replaced?

Before I get into today’s post, I would like to remind you of another giveaway event that is starting tomorrow evening…..you still have time to get in as a contributor in the Halloween Giveaway, to start, or continue to build your list….

As you know multiple streams of income an integral part of Internet Marketing. If it were not for the ability to have several of those streams on auto pilot we would not make half as much from the Internet as we do today. Systems that earn us affiliate income and commissions from paid advertising contribute to a large percentage of our monthly income. One of these sources of advertising commissions is Google’s AdSense program.

By the way, this post IS NOT about Google’s AdSense program! Far from it in fact. What this post IS about is the fact that most of us are losing a huge amounts of income because of AdSense.

When was the last time you earned over $1 for one click from the Adsense ads on any of your websites? When was the last time you looked at your website ads and found Googles AdSense target ads displaying something completely irrelevant to your website content?

Most days, I find these problems on my sites which affect not only my business, but more importantly my business income, which I am trying to generate to support my family.

So ask me “Do we have the right to complain?”

Yes we do! Just because Google is the biggest search engine provider in the world, doesn’t mean they have the best advertising and commission structure for paid ads does it?

When I first started out as an Internet Marketer, I was advised to sign up for the Google AdSense program and I did. The earnings are never very much. Maybe a dollar one day, maybe 50 cents another, not really enough to write home about. In fact I hardly find it worth it anymore.

Now don’t get me wrong here, there are marketers who make some fantastic income from AdSense I’ve read about them, but it’s not me.

The AdSense program does work and does earn you money. However, I do think it could be better. This is what brings me to CB Ad Rotator. Now CB Ad Rotator does the same job as AdSense with some excellent improvements:

1. You have no threshold of $100 to reach before payment, this means that if you are just starting out and someone clicks on an ad that leads to a sale, you make $$.

2. Your commissions are a lot higher than AdSense meaning you get paid a lot more for sales (ClickBank products are worth anywhere up $297.00 with up to 75% commissions on some products). This, as you know (or should know), is the highest payment possible. BUT, if you take the average product at say $47 with the average commission 55%, this is still $25.85 commission from one click!!

3. You can choose your exact targeted ads with your own keywords. These ads are not determined by scanning content to produce them, which are sometimes not relevant. All ads are relevant to your website and determined by the keywords you plug in!

4. Easy to setup guides in the form of email and video tutorials.

5. You can even run the two ad programs side by side. Why have one automated income when you can have two?

Check the bottom and sidebar of this page for examples of CB Ad Rotator in action.

These are just some of the excellent features you can utilize to push your business further….

‘DID YOU WANT PROOF’

Take a look at CB Ad Rotator for a comparison table and real screen shots of a weeks earning from both paid ad systems. You will then see the truth.

Remember CB Ad Rotator is not a replacement for AdSense, the two can run side by side. If you are looking for an extra form of income on complete auto pilot from your visitors, then this is paramount to your website success. If your AdSense empire come crashing down from a banned account then this is your salvation too.

CB Ad Rotator–The future of commission based ads is here! Seriously, from one online marketer to another, this is a no brainer and another auto pilot income stream worth looking into.
