Twitter Success Stories — Do You Have One?
We all know how popular the social marketing site Twitter has become in the past 12-18 months. Have you joined the throngs to build your followers? Did you know that there are several marketers that are using it to it’s fullest advantage and becoming very successful with it?
Yes, there are ebooks sprouting up all over the place with instructionals on HOW to use it to it’s fullest advantage, but how many of the authors of those books have actually done it?
How about if I told you there is a brand new ebook out today that profiles 17 marketers who have used it and are extremely successful with it? Wouldn’t you consider picking it up to find out their Twitter ‘secrets’ and how they have used it to become successful?
My friend and accountability partner, Peggy Baron, has done something unusual. She has queried 17 different marketers about their Twittering and has gotten some juicy tips and tricks from the likes of Willie Crawford, Craig Ballentyne, Bev Clement, and Connie Ragen Green to name a few.
She has titled her new ebook; Twitter Success Stories
Peggy was kind enough to provide me with a preview copy of the book and I must say that as I read through it, I was shocked at the simple, yet effective, methods that these marketers use to increase the number of followers they have and how they use Twitter to add to their numerous income streams.
Here are a couple of the ways Twitter has been used:
One marketer has used Twitter to get past the ‘gatekeepers’ of some of a few ‘gooroos’ only to be asked to help out on a couple of projects. Find out who that was here.
Another one has used Twitter to put out the word that they were in a bind when a phone interview subject no-showed. The followers who responded ended up turning the conference call into a brainstorming session. Which Twitterer was that?
Find out who has used Twitter as a source for one of their successful products.
These marketers will tell you about their personal Twitter successes and what they’ve learned in using Twitter to grow their businesses. They will also give you TIPS to get you on the right track.
So if you’re interested in growing your business and using Twitter as another marketing tool, pick up a copy of Twitter Success Stories. I’m guessing you will come away with some great ideas you can apply to your business.
Until next time,
Here’s to YOUR Successes,
Ron
P.S. I pulled out a quote from the book for you that I liked:
“If you own a business of any size and you’re still not Twittering, you’re missing out on what amounts to a global virtual chamber of commerce networking event you can access anytime, day or night.” from Heidi Richards Mooney

Well you got me wondering Ron. I have my doubts about twitter being able to do all that much. So I just may pop for the book. I sure see a lot of people signing up for twitter. I heard they almost doubled in size in the past 30 days. I just wonder is anyone is reading even a 10th of the twitters they get, I’m not.

This looks like a great ebook. Anyone can write an ebook about how to use something, but there the true gold comes in is when that ebook has real stories of success that you can model.

Yes, Twitter’s a very hot social networking site right now, and it’s important to learn to use it right if you’re planning to use it for marketing purposes.
Like everything, there are two ways to learn how to use Twitter – spend a few months on trial and error and hope you don’t alienate your audience along the way, or spend a few bucks and learn how to do it right away by learning from those who’ve already done all the testing and tweaking.
Why re-invent the Twitter wheel? Get the advice from the pros who’ve already experienced Twitter Success!
Great post, Ron!
I first realized the power of Twitter when I noticed how many people were tweeting about trips they were going to take, asking for advice from people who lived in the area, etc. Being in the Travel niche, I could see then that this was a good venue to offer travel advice, and it’s boosted traffic to my travel sites nicely – hope you’re seeing the same effect on your road to Twitter Success!

Twitter is just the BEST! I love it and probably spend way too much time there.. LOL. But I have met some fantastic people on Twitter, in fact Doug Champigny was one of these great people I met.
The bottom line however is that Twitter is a social medium. By all means use it to drive traffic to your blogs and sales pages, but make sure you mingle this with personal interaction. People who just use it to try and drive traffic get unfollowed very quickly.
Cheers,

I understood that Twitter grew over 1500% just during the first months this year. Still way to go to get the number of subscribers in Facebook, but with this rate they catching up quickly.

TWitter is a must-have for not only marketing…but making money online. However, I believe you should NOT monetize it directly; instead, use it to build a following and direct those people to your sites/blogs/ARs/etc.
