Economic Woes??–’Minnesota lottery sales hit all-time high’

Are we in that bad of condition economically? The second half of the headline says it all, I think.

From what we read in the media, be it in the newspaper, online, perusing magazine covers going through the checkout line, we are being told that we are in the middle of dire economic times.

When I read the headline about the Minnesota lottery sales, I was dumbfounded. You can read the short article here.

It seems people are still seeking that ’silver bullet’, that ‘big win’…the prize that will set them up for life so that they won’t have to work anymore.

Are ‘we’ THAT lazy?

Are we THAT dissatisfied with our present work situation that we are seeking a way to get out of it?

Great idea, but where do the funds come from to pay our bills for the next whatever period of time?

Don’t get me wrong…I use the word ‘we’ carefully, because there are people who don’t spend money on lottery tickets weekly, and I am one of those people. There are people who are satisfied with their present working situation and don’t have a problem with not changing anything. I am NOT one of those people, I am not satisfied with status quo and I am working towards being financially independent (I am not there yet, but don’t have too far to go).

What if there were a way that you could work on replacing your full time income, but do it starting in your spare time, with very little monetary output on your part?

Is Internet Marketing, or Information Marketing, as I like to term it, the answer? Doug Champigny has a good take on that…..you can read it here.

I am not saying that this is the ’silver bullet’ that is going to make you thousands of dollars overnight, but it can put you on that road to making a couple of hundred dollars a month and with more effort, possibly replacing your full time income and allowing you to ‘retire’ from the rat race.

Believe me, there are thousands of people (and probably millions) out there right now that are looking for a way to make money from home. If you get any of what Doug mentions in his post, there are going to be many more thousands, possibly millions more, coming on line in the next year or two who are going to be looking for a way to replace their incomes by working from home doing some sort of Information Marketing.
