Internet Marketing Insights with Ron Barrett Internet Marketing :

As I was perusing the newspaper this weekend, this headline jumped out at me–

‘Jobless ranks hit 10 million, most in a quarter-century; unemployment hits 14-year high

Now, at first glance, this is not good news. It means that there are more people out of work today than there has been in the past 25 years.

Are you one of them?

It means that, depending on what kind of work you do, the competition for openings that could arise in that field is going to be fierce.

How would you like to go into a job interview and find out that there are, say, 15 other people who they are interviewing for that position?

Unless you have perfected the interview process, the chances of you landing that job are slim…and even if you do, the salary for the position is probably going to be lower than what you were previously making…

So you have a couple of choices here…stay on the job search merry-go-round and become more and more frustrated as time goes by or until the economy takes a drastic upturn and companies start hiring back the people they let go.

How long is that going to be??

How well honed are YOUR speculation skills?

That’s what I thought.

Teaching Opportunity

Here is where the teaching opportunity comes in. How many of those 10 million people have internet access? I would speculate :) somewhere in the 60-75% range, which means that there are 6-7.5 million people out there who MAY just turn to their computer to find out how they can make some extra moola.

Ok, let’s look at the low side…let’s say that you could get just 1% of those people on your list. That’s an additional 60,000 subscribers.

How would you like to have access to that many potential subscribers or customers on your list? I bet every single Information Marketer out there would!

How about one half of one percent? Would 30,000 subscribers make a difference in your business? I know it would in mine.

Do you have the skills to teach people HOW to make extra cash using their computers? If you were a subscriber to my K.A.R. (Knowledge-Application-Results) newsletter, you could be learning those skills!

It’s a win-win. I teach you.

You teach them.

All of us are making extra income.

I say that because not all of us are going to be targeting the same audience. Some of you may be targeting dog lovers, some motorcycle riders…that’s just two of the thousands of niches that you can target with your business.

So what are you waiting for? Grab my bonuses for subscribing to the K.A.R. newsletter and let’s grab this teaching opportunity by the horns and shake it up!

Or, stay on the merry-go-round and keep honing those interviewing skills.

Til next time….

Here’s to YOUR successes!

Are we in that bad of condition economically? The second half of the headline says it all, I think.

From what we read in the media, be it in the newspaper, online, perusing magazine covers going through the checkout line, we are being told that we are in the middle of dire economic times.

When I read the headline about the Minnesota lottery sales, I was dumbfounded. You can read the short article here.

It seems people are still seeking that ‘silver bullet’, that ‘big win’…the prize that will set them up for life so that they won’t have to work anymore.

Are ‘we’ THAT lazy?

Are we THAT dissatisfied with our present work situation that we are seeking a way to get out of it?

Great idea, but where do the funds come from to pay our bills for the next whatever period of time?

Don’t get me wrong…I use the word ‘we’ carefully, because there are people who don’t spend money on lottery tickets weekly, and I am one of those people. There are people who are satisfied with their present working situation and don’t have a problem with not changing anything. I am NOT one of those people, I am not satisfied with status quo and I am working towards being financially independent (I am not there yet, but don’t have too far to go).

What if there were a way that you could work on replacing your full time income, but do it starting in your spare time, with very little monetary output on your part?

Is Internet Marketing, or Information Marketing, as I like to term it, the answer? Doug Champigny has a good take on that…..you can read it here.

I am not saying that this is the ‘silver bullet’ that is going to make you thousands of dollars overnight, but it can put you on that road to making a couple of hundred dollars a month and with more effort, possibly replacing your full time income and allowing you to ‘retire’ from the rat race.

Believe me, there are thousands of people (and probably millions) out there right now that are looking for a way to make money from home. If you get any of what Doug mentions in his post, there are going to be many more thousands, possibly millions more, coming on line in the next year or two who are going to be looking for a way to replace their incomes by working from home doing some sort of Information Marketing.

I want to position myself to help them choose whatever vehicle that they want to use to get them to whever they need to go. My K.A.R. (Knowledge-Application-Results) system will definitely help them, and you. I strongly suggest that you sign up for my newsletter (the form is in the upper right hand side of the page)…..not only will you get some great reports, but you will also get more ‘inside information’ on what I am doing, how I am doing it, and the results that I am getting.

Did you know that the statistics show that fully one third of all lottery winners are broke within 5 years of winning the big money?

So who are you going to listen to? The media that is telling us daily that things are crumbling around us, or to your ‘inside voice’ telling you that there IS a way that you can change things and make yourself a better person?

So hop in to my K.A.R and take a ride. You’ve got nothing to lose, but OH so much to gain!

Til next time,

Here’s to YOUR success,

Ron

Are You Focused?

As I continue providing you with information about my K.A.R. (Knowledge-Application-Results) system, I want to give you some tidbits to help you build your base of knowledge as an Internet Marketer. A good friend of mine, and fellow marketer, Peggy Baron, has a product that fits in nicely with my system: IM Focused.

The following are my thoughts as I read through her ebook:

Common Knowledge Amongst Internet Marketers

There are lots of things that are common knowledge amongst internet marketers, but if you’re new to internet marketing, you may not have learned them yet. Rather than cram everything into this one post, I’m going to break it down into a 3 part series and cover 3 basic topics in each part. These are in no particular order, but all are important to your online success.

1. You need a website.

While it is possible to start selling products without a website, it might not be in your best interest to do so. Having your own website(s) contributes to your long-term growth, which is crucial to online success. Your own website says you’re a serious, professional marketer interested in building relationships with people while selling products with value.

As you add more and more products, whether your own or affiliate products, it’s also good to have a “mother ship”, a home base website, where you can showcase yourself and your products. A website can promote your products and brand you as an internet marketing expert. This is common knowledge amongst internet marketers.

2. You need a list.

Another important factor to your online success is building a list. If you have a list, then you have a group of people who have said they’re willing to listen to you and perhaps buy from you. If you didn’t have these people on your list, then you have to work much harder to drive traffic to your website each and every time you want to promote a product. Would you rather have 100 targeted people on your list to promote to with one email, or try to get 100 new people to come to your website so you can then promote to them?

Consider what can happen if you have a list made up of customers who have already bought from you? They know you now, they know what kind of value you give, and they’re much more likely to purchase from you again. You can’t get a much more “targeted” crowd than that!

So build your list by offering something for free (an ebook, a report, an ecourse, audio or video) in exchange for their name and email address.

3. You need an autoresponder.

Autoresponders (I highly recommend Aweber) are your first step in putting your business on autopilot, and they are directly related to the all-important list you’re building. It might be easy enough at first to send out emails, promotional and informational, to the 5 people on your new list, but think ahead. When your list is in the thousands, you can’t possibly email each one of them.

An autoresponder is like a secretary. You set up your emails and they will go out when you want them to at a certain time on a certain day. If you want your autoresponder to deliver an ecourse you can tell it to send the lessons 3 days apart or whenever you want.

So, these are the first 3 of the topics covered in this common knowledge amongst internet marketer series.

Stay tuned for Part 2 and Part 3.
