Quick question. When you left a comment on my blog your picture showed up in my word press. Just wondering how you get your picture on there. I looked all over the profile area and could not find a spot.

I see that you have a different word press theme so I don’t if that is it. Your advice is appreciated!

Great tip Ron!
I use them on some of my sites, but I might need to start using them all the time.

I didn’t really notice until now, but they are very important branding images, especially within browser bookmarks.

Checking my bookmarks now I can clearly see what the site is by looking at their Favicon, it makes their site stand out in my long bookmark list.

Haven’t heard of Favicon before. This sounds like a good thing to work on when I get caught up. I’m not sure that is likely to happen soon. This was indeed an good post and good information about something that is new to me.

Favicons are a great idea for your web site Ron and a good post letting people know about them.

I’ve always used http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/ to generate favicons where you can get a static or animated one.

Great info, Ron, and there's another benefit to using a favicon - when someone adds a shortcut on their desktop to your blog, the favicon displays as the icon on their desktop too! Doug Champigny’s last blog post..Major Work-At-Home Blogging Breakthrough!
